Acacia Creek Campus - Development Project

Masonic Homes

Location: Union City, California

Summary: The project consisted of the development of a multi-story senior housing building. A five-story structure was proposed to accommodate a total of 184 apartment units, four cottages, 14 assisted living units, and 20 hospital beds. The project included the installation of interior streets and the associated utilities for the housing development. An outfall was proposed to discharge post-construction stormwater to Acacia Creek on the southwest corner of the Project area. A 36-inch stormwater drainpipe was constructed to discharge first to a detention/settling basin then to a rock rip-rapped outfall (per Alameda County standards) on the north side of the creek channel. Impacts to riparian trees occurred due to building envelope encroachment totaling 2,500 square feet and compensatory mitigation for riparian impacts will total 5,000 square feet.
